Mulching is nothing but covering the top exposed layer of the soil around plants to reduce water evaporation and keep plants healthier and happier. You can either go in for organic mulches, such as a covering of plant compost and wood chips, or opt for inorganic varieties such as beach pebbles. Cover the top layer of the soil around the plants with any of these. This way, even when you forget to water that one day, your plants will survive the dry periods.
Make your garden look fresher
To help your garden wear a fresh look during the summer, choose shrubs and perennials that have low water requirements and demand lesser care.
