ORAL CARE
My dog shaggy’s tongue is covered with a thin white film all the time .is that normal or do I need to take special care of him?
The thin white film covering on the tongue is an indication of excessive yeast growth. Cut down on the dairy products in your pet’s diet and shaggy should be okay.
Venue: if the event is indoor, make sure the Air-conditioning is effective. Do keep in mind power cuts and arrange generator back-ups. Offer cold, fragrant towels for guests to wipe hands.
If it’s an outdoor party, early summer evenings can be pleasant, with a light breeze. So you can host the party in a garden, terrace or a fair-sized balcony (depending on the number of guests). But again, fans, mobile AC units and air coolers are musts. Place hand fans on tables to add to the effect- they can be very useful
Menu: in the summer, pay special attention to the menu-avoid spicy gravies or fried foods. A continental meal would work well- it would cut out the need for too much cooking (the rotis, parathas or puris) and last-minute re-heating. Avoid hot, heavy desserts such as halwa, gulab jamun and bread puddings. You can serve lots of diced fruits, well chilled served with dollops of different ice creams, kulfis with faluda, chilled rasagullas, rasamalais or kheer. If serving cheese cakes are soufflés, avoid using too much cream. For drinks, besides the regular bar with all the spirits, wines and chilled beer, offer a variety of juices. Remember, fresh nimbu or nariyal Pani Work best. You can also prepare jaljeera, raw mango, panna and different sherbets flavored with sandal, rose and khus.even well-prepared thandai works as a refresher. Make sure you never run out of ice.
Décor: create a light, airy ambience using organza drapes in white or pastel shades and light-colored cushion covers.opt for white as the theme of the party, with chair covers, cushion covers, diwan covers, runners, and bolsters in shades of white, with sparkling-clean crystal, well-polished silver accessories and glassware. White gladioli, tuberoses, carnations and roses with delicate greens work well for floral touches. a few silver-painted dry leaves , twigs and silver balls will add glamour. Though candles can create heat they look great. Get some fragrant, smokeless candles and place them in low-traffic areas.
Fragrance: use mogras, jasmine or desi gulab petals in bowls. Coordinate the fragrance with essential oils-put a few drops on table lamps and bulbs to help diffuse the perfume. Offer mogra gajras to ladies on arrival-to tie it in their hair or just wear on wrists.
